Blueberry Lavender Oatmilk
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of rolled oats (ONLY rolled oats)
- 4-5 cups of ice-cold water
- A pinch of salt
- 1/5 cup of frozen blueberries
- 1-2 tsp of lavender buds (depends on how intense of a flavor you would like)
- Your choice of sweetener (2 tbsp agave, 2 tbsp maple syrup, or 2 pitted dates)
Directions:
- Add the rolled oats, frozen blueberries, iced cold water, salt, and your sweetener to a blender and blender for 20-30 seconds. Don’t over-blend the milk because it can cause it to become slimy.
- Strain using a nut milk bag and gently squeeze. Pour into a storage container
- Pour the lavender buds into a coffee filter bag and place the bag inside the oat milk container to steep overnight
- When ready to enjoy, remove the coffee bag and enjoy baked goods, coffee, tea, etc
Tips/Notes:
* Be sure to shake it up each time you decide to use it because separation does occur
* The milk will lose its color over time; however, the flavor will stay the same
