Vegan Cornbread

 

WATCH ME MAKE THIS DISH

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup of cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tsp of vegan butter, melted
  • 3/4 - 1 cup of oat milk
  • 1 "egg" = 1 tbsp of flaxseed mill + 3 tbsp of water (let sit for 10 mins)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
  2. In a small bowl, add 1 tbsp of milled flaxseeds and 2 tbsp of water. Set aside for 10 minutes
  3. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Next, stir in the melted butter and 3/4 cup of milk. Add the remaining 1/4 cup of milk if needed.
  5. Transfer to a buttered baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 mins.
  6. Serve warm and top with vegan butter
