Vegan Cornbread
WATCH ME MAKE THIS DISH
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup of cornmeal
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3 tsp of vegan butter, melted
- 3/4 - 1 cup of oat milk
- 1 "egg" = 1 tbsp of flaxseed mill + 3 tbsp of water (let sit for 10 mins)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
- In a small bowl, add 1 tbsp of milled flaxseeds and 2 tbsp of water. Set aside for 10 minutes
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- Next, stir in the melted butter and 3/4 cup of milk. Add the remaining 1/4 cup of milk if needed.
- Transfer to a buttered baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 mins.
- Serve warm and top with vegan butter
