IF YOU KNOW ME, YOU KNOW THAT I LOVE ICE CREAM! SO ANY TIME I COME ACROSS VEGAN ICE CREAM, IM THE FIRST IN LINE.
Whenever i visit spruce street park, i make a stop by the franklin ice cream food truck. They have several flavors for vegans And my FAVORITE ones are oreo and vanilla with SPRINKLES.
DIZENGOFF’S MENU IS SHORT AND SWEET OFFERING HUMMUS AND GARNISHES, PITA, AND CHOPPED SALAD. I ofTen found myself here after or before grocery shopping at the Wholefoods in fairmount.
I ALWAYS ORDER AN EXTRA BAKED PITA BECAUSE THEY’RE SO YUMMY. IF YOU’RE A FAN OF HUMMUS LIKE I AM, YOU’LL LOVE DIZENGOFF!
maison 208 has a sPecial place in mY heart because it is where my Fiance and i Celebrated our engagement. I ordered the vegan gnocchi with veggies and the dish was very delicious
i actually celebrated my 26th birthday at charlie was a sinner. i ordered the shishito peppers, our ricotta and a WHEAT GRASS shot that i thought was a simple WHEAT GRASS shot but ended up being an ALCOHOLIC WHEAT GRASS shot. yeah, pretty interesting haha
i really liked charlie was a sinner and i think you would too. the atmosphere is pretty romantic with dim lighting.
I’ve been to green eggs twice whiLe in philadelphia. The first time I ordered their vegan french toast which was delicious. The second tIme, I ordered the Ultimate Tofu Scramble which Has tofu, curry, peppers, onions, plum tomatoes, spinach and vegan sausage, served with toasted bread.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the vegan sausage but enjoyed the tofu scramble, vegan french toast, potatoes and peppers. a bonus for me was fact that its a BYOB restaurant!
I came to White Dog Cafe for a friends birthday brunch. from the tofu scramble, breakfast potatoes and toast with mimosas of course ;) and it was pretty yummm.
if you cant tell by now, most restaurants offer tofu scrambles, breakfast potatoes and toast as a vegan option. I’m OK with that, especially if it tastes like Honey’s Sit N Eat!
I brought my family here where they were visiting from Seattle and they really enjoyed it. It’s a good place to visit with a group because of the many food options.
I’ve been to true food a couple times and each time I visit I’m impressed by their seasonal changing menu and vegan options.
During my last visit, I had the Dashi Ramen . It includes sweet potato glass noodle, bok choy, grilled portobello , charred onion, radish, dried sweet corn , black bean, and sesame chili oil. I added the tofu for additional protein.
After my first time having the impossible burger, i was pretty hooked and would search for restaurants that sold the impossible burger. tap room on 19th was one of them but not only did they have the impossible burger, they also had delicious brussel sprouts and fried cauliflower than anyone would enjoy.
id recommend calling ahead to confirm whether or not they have the impossible burger handy.
so if im not having the impossible burger, my option is the beyond meat burger and burgerfi is one of the restaurants that i’d order it from. they also have a QUINOA burger if you’re against meat SUBSTITUTES. i haven’t had it but it’s great that burgerfi offers a couple of options for us non meat eaters.
sabrina’s was one of the first places i dined at after transitioning to vegan. i had a friend in town and needed to find a place that catered to the both of us. the fact that sabrina’s was able to do that and offered BYOB, i was impressed and excited. the service was great and the food was delicious
another tofu scramble, potatoes and toast. There are a few other options on the menu as well.
The Tasty Vegan is a pay before you sit, bus your own table and leave in a food coma because the food is so good kind of restaurant. i had their fried Chick’n sandwich, Chick’n and waffles and their soysage and tofu cheese egg breakfast sandwich. All of it was amazingggg and I’d def recommend all 3 dishes. It’s a 100% vegan restaurant and honestly, the options are endless.
brunch at jerry’s bar consisted of a Tofu Scramble, with fried brussels sprouts, roasted peppers, caramelized onions and homefries. On the cutting board: Hummus Trio - White bean hummus with lemon and olive oil, smoked red beet dip, pumpkin cardamom hummus, with grilled naan bread, hot-n-honey roasted carrots, cucumbers, olives and pickled vegetables.
Not pictured was the pineapple pomegranate mimosa because it was just too delicious to hold off for a photo.
now, hip city may be one of my favorite vegan restaurants. they have locations in both philadelphia and dc and with me living in the dc area and traveling for work to philly, i’m always a happy camper.
one thing about me is when i find something i like at a restaurant, i normally stick to that - so at hip city i always order the buffalo chickn sandwich, sweet potato fries and the vanilla milkshake that, i kid you not, tastes just like a chick-fil-a milkshake but vegan.
bar bombon is one of those places you go to for great drinks, vibes and food. its a nice place to have a happy hour with friends or a quick date night. the food is delicious and the desserts are, omg, amazing! I’ve tried their nachos, vegan chiviche, empanadas, cubano SANDWICH and their coconut cake and none of these disappointed.
while in philadelphia, i often explored the city by my lonesome because i just loved to get up and go. im a foodie and philly is a foodie city. i tried lolita during philadelphia restaurant week and though there was only one option on the menu for me - carrot tacos - i loved them and i’m sure you would too.
