Whenever I travel to a new city, my goal is to try 2-4 vegan restaurants. I visited Minneapolis for a wedding but also turned it into a mini vegan food tour while there. Here are some of the restaurants I was able to try.

Fish bowl Poke

while in Minneapolis, we stopped by the graze (a food hall) for drinks and food to kick off the night. There were several restaurants there including a poke bowl restaurant called fishbowl poke. it offered a variety of poke bowls but what I appreciated most was the tofu protein option included on the menu.

I veganized the rock n roll bowl which came with Cucumber, edamame, tomato, fried garlic, tofu, green onion, korean garlic sauce. the flavors complement each other very well. I'll definitely be back here and would recommend that you check it out too.

Fig + Farro

There’s something about plant based restaurants but then there’s something special about plant based restaurants that satisfy the non-vegans in your life. those are the restaurants to be cherished. fig + farro is one of those restaurants. plus they have a vegan all you can eat brunch and $5 mimosas or $15 bottomless mimosas. it doesn’t get any better than that.

this restaurant has great vibes, food and drinks. it should be added to the top of your “must visit” restaurants in minneapolis

Herbivorous Butcher

the HERBIVOROUS butcher is owned by a brother and sister duo who have spent over a decade creating meat-free alternatives. their products provide optimum amounts of protein and B-vitamins that many meat alternatives lack, as well as modest levels of monounsaturated fats.

after taking one bite of the italian cold cut, i immediately regretted not ordering a second one. it was that good. I also enjoyed the korean bbq rib. if i could’ve traveled via plane with cold cheese and deli meat from the HERBIVOROUS butcher, I would have. haha

the shop sells specialty sandwiches, dairy free cheese, meatless deli meat and many other products owned by companies across the u.s.
